A Clinical Study of Flutoprazepam (Restas^(¢ç))



Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of flutoprazepam on various types of neurosis. The subjects of this trial were 24 cutpatients who had suffered from conrersive disorder, dysthymic disorder and anxiety disorder. The daily dose of flutoprazepam -anged from 2 to 4mg, and was adjusted as needed according to changes in the patient¢¥s symptoms. The period of administration was 2 weeks. The clinical effects and side effects were evaluated by using symptom-checklist and self-reporting. Also, common blood count, liver function test, and urine analysis were performed during the same period.
The results were as follows.
1) Flutoprazepam had an excellent beneficial effect on the following symptoms in order; headache, sleep disturbance, tension, chest tightness, chest palpitation, restlessness, and fatigue.
2) There was no significant improvement in symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and back pain during treatment.
3) As the usefulness of this drug was compared among 3 different disease, anxiety neurosis group showed better response than the other groups.
4) There was not specific change in laboratory findings such as common blod co t, liver function test, urinalysis.
5) 4(16.67%) of the subjects developed side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness b t none of them discontinued the administration of this drug and severity of adverse eaction was mild.
